I needed a lock installed and after searching online for a good locksmith I came across cbs. After contacting them they arrived with in 25 min they recommended the right lock for me . And the gentlemen was very pleasant and Professional and the price was great no hidden fees. I would definitely recommend them to freinds and family .

This business claims it’s 24 hours so I called at 12 A.M., the guy answered the phone and told me to go look at the clock and got mad for calling at “2 o’clock in the morning” (it was literally a few minutes after 12). Very unprofessional and hung up the phone. If you don’t want people calling you after hours.... maybe don’t claim to be a 24 hour service.

Expensive but good. I lost my keys around 10 PM on a Saturday night, and called CBS because they’re also on the Upper East Side. They arrived in about a half hour, and the guy was quick and efficient and professional. However, for 5 minutes of work and a $40 new lock (Mortise cylinder 7185SC1-03-KD), he charged me $350, and wouldn’t take a credit card. When I told him I didn’t carry $350 in cash, he insisted I go to the ATM to get it. So, they are kind of pricey, and won’t take credit after hours, but the work was well done.

Went to visit a friend in the city for a night of drinking and debauchery. Upon returning to his place we realized that he lost his keys. I was in no mood to traipse around the city back tracking through our night so I offered to pop for a locksmith. We called Reliable, got a reasonable estimate and had a locksmith at the apartment in about 30 minutes. Reliable showed up quickly worked discreetly and had us back in the apartment in just a few minutes saving me from a horrible reverse bar crawl
